1. CONTACT PERSON – One person must be dedicated as the event's proxy. We will only accept arrangements and orders from this person and from no other employee, spectators, etc. 2. POWER FAILURE – In the event of a power failure where Schoeman Sound are unable to perform the service as quoted, the client will still be responsible for full payment, as quoted, without any compensation or discounts from Schoeman Sound. 3. INSURANCE – Should any thing happen to our equipment / vehicle(s) at your event, you will be liable for the excess payment as levied by our Insurers. (This will however not apply in instances where the damages are caused by Schoeman Sound employees) 4. BAD WEATHER – In the event of "bad weather" where Schoeman Sound are unable to perform the service as quoted or where the client cancels or postpones the event, the client will still be responsible for full payment, as quoted, without any compensation or discount from Schoeman Sound. 5. PRESENTER – In the event of the client using their own Presenter / Commentator, Schoeman Sound will accept no responsibility for his comments, views, perceptions, etc. broadcasted. 6. VALIDITY OF QUOTATION – This quotation will be valid for 7 days. 7. ACCEPTANCE OF QUOTATION – If you accept this quotation, please sign it and fax it back to the fax number on the quotation. A Pro-rata invoice will be forwarded to you for the deposit. Payment of deposit will confirm your booking. 8. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS – Your acceptance of our quotation, signed and faxed to us, will confirm that you've read our Terms & Conditions, that you understand it and that you accept it in totality. 9. LIABILITY – Schoeman Sound accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, inconvenience, etc. that may take place at your event. Schoeman Sound will do everything possible to ensure safety and quality at all times at the event(s). Schoeman Sound will accept no responsibility for any equipment failure caused by any party other than employees of Schoeman Sound. 10. ACCOMMODATION – See our quotation for accommodation details. 11. SAFETY & SECURITY – Secure and safe parking for our Tow / Crew Vehicle and the Outside Broadcast Unit (Caravan) with equipment must be provided for at the arranged accommodation or where any of our vehicles have to stand at the event itself. A safe and secure working environment must be provided for by the client for our staff. The customer must provide overnight security for our OB Unit on the event terrain by a trusted security company. Indoor Sound - The customer are responsible to ensure that the event building are securely locked and that the alarm is switched on at all times when one of the Schoeman Sound staff are not present. 12. ENTRANCE TO OUTSIDE BROADCAST UNIT – Only people directly involved in the event / broadcast will be allowed inside the OB Unit. 13. SAMRO LICENSING – On acceptance of our quotation, a SAMRO (South African Music Rights Organization) information documents will be forwarded to you for completion. The Public Address Broadcast will be done under the Schoeman Sound SAMRO License no. ST 0125903. 14. CANCELLATIONS – Cancellations by the client, 60 days prior to event will carry a 7,5% levy on total estimated cost. 59 – 30 days before the event, 20% levy on total estimated cost. 29 – 21 days before the event, 30% levy on total estimated cost. 20 – 14 days before the event, 40% levy on total estimated cost. 13 – 1 day before event, 50% levy on total estimated cost. The client will be charged in full for cancellation by himself on the day of the event, no matter what the reason. 15. RIGHT OF ADVERTISING RESERVED - Schoeman Sound reserves the right to prohibit the broadcasting, advertising, announcements and mentioning of certain institution, products, services, etc. at our sole discretion. We also reserve the right to prohibit certain people from broadcasting. The intention here is to protect Schoeman Sound, The Customer and the Public. 16. ENTRANCE TO EVENT PREMISES – Schoeman Sound must be able to enter the event premises at least 2 hours before the start of the event. (Also bear in mind that we will need +/- 2 hours after the event to de-rig). 17. CREW – The client is responsible for ensuring that our crew have access to clean drinking water and clean toilets from arrival at event until completion of their work. 18. MIXING AREA (Performance Sound) – The mixing area must be in the FOH Listening field, the engineer can not mix from back stage, or from a room that is isolated from the FOH listening field. 19. STAGE VIEW – The Band, Performers, Speakers and Power Amplifier Racks must be in view of the engineer (the crowd often obstruct view to the band, speakers, performers and Power Amplifier Racks)
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 1. ELECTRICITY – Outside Broadcast - A working electrical 3-point plug must be provided not further than 25 meters from the OB Unit. The plug must have a 20 Amp breaker - NO GENERATORS - No other Electrical plugs on this breaker may be used for a Jumping Castle, Bain Marine, Urn, Kettle, Deep Fryer, etc. - Indoor Sound - A table and 2 chairs, and a working electrical 3-point plug must be provided not further than 25 meters from the mixing desk. The plug must have a 20 Amp breaker. Other electrical arrangements will be made according to your sound and light needs. See quotation for full details. NO GENERATORS. No other Electrical plugs on this breaker may be used for a Jumping Castle, Bain Marine, Urn, Kettle or Deep Fryer. 2. VOLTAGE DROP – PLEASE CONSULT AN ELECTRICIAN – In the event where the client will be supplying the OB Unit with electricity via an electrical extension from a fixed 3-point electrical Socket, the core thickness must be in relation to the length of the electrical extension. For Example: 4mm core on 50 Meters. A Voltage drop will result in severe equipment damage. Schoeman Sound will not operate any equipment when the voltage drop are more than 10% of 230Volt on full load.
EQUIPMENT SALES 1. GUARANTEE - Lighting products 6 months, audio products 1 year: against manufacture faults and latent defects. Guarantee does not extend to damage caused by incorrect / negligent operation, or due to modifications on equipment by anyone other than Schoeman Sound, or due to damage/ theft after leaving our premises.
ADDITIONAL FEES NOT INCLUDED IN QUOTATION 1. TOLL PLAZA FEES - Toll Plaza Fees are not included in the quotation and will be invoiced at cost on the final invoice. 2. E-TOLL - E-Toll charges for the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project ("GFIP") are not included in this quotation and will be invoiced separately at E-Toll cost, as calculated by SANRAL on our E-Toll account.
