A Successful Performance...

… the concert space must fulfill the following:

  1. The audience must clearly hear all of the music with the proper balance between instruments, vocals, audio tracks, and the proper tonal balance for each of the above.

  2. The performer must clearly hear himself and the other performers

  3. Reverberation should be appropriate to the style of music

  4. Extraneous sounds must be inaudible in the concert space

  5. A perfect image by creating an illusion of spaciousness in which each instrument and/or vocals is a natural size, has a distinct location within the sound space, and does not move around

  6. The sound of the concert should be inaudible outside of the concert space. This may not effect the concert itself, but may effect the possibility of holding future concerts

  7. Each performance much provide an opportunity for the audience to make a new discovery

  8. The audience must experience a sensation of quality sound

  9. Speakers must be placed so that the audience are all seated in the blend zone
